About this workshop
There are very few models of creative education that are based on extensive research. One of them, the Torrance Incubation Model (TIM), is a three-stage instructional model for facilitating creative teaching abilities. Before creative teaching can occur, ways to heighten the anticipation and expectation to prepare the learners, digging deeper into the content as well as connecting new content with prior information are all part of the creative process.
In this interactive workshop, participants will be able to use this model to improve the quality of teaching, while tapping into their own creative abilities through deliberate effort, especially in the Areas of lesson design and delivery of content.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
• Select appropriate skills sets from the Torrance Incubation Model in the teaching of various
subjects.
• Develop lesson plans incorporating the Torrance Incubation Model.
