About this workshop
The nature of genius is traditionally surrounded by a number of misleading myths, for example, ’Geniuses are born’, ’Geniuses are recognized in childhood’ or ’Genuises are superior people who are talented in everything’.
In this workshop, the basic premise is that a genius is recognized for his or her innovative deeds that benefit society. The assumption is that every child has the potential to be a genius and that this genius can be discovered and nurtured. Research into the lives of geniuses by Dr Andrei Aleinikov (1992) reveals that there is an effect (Genius Impact Effect) that is always present in the life of every genius, the moment of enchantment, where the life of that person can be reoriented towards the genius direction.
This four-hour interactive workshop will highlight the conditions of creating this Genius Impact Effect in the lives of ordinary students when crafting their personal vision. Participants will be facilitated through the use of “Storyboarding”, which will culminate in the casting, sharing and debriefing of
each personal vision in Groups.
Objectives of this workshop
Participants will be able to
• identify and articulate their own personal vision.
• draw and express strategies towards achieving their vision.
• use “Storyboarding” to outline the details of their vision.
• discover key obstacles towards achieving their vision and how to overcome them.
• enjoy personal and group feedback on vision articulation and strategies.
